Certifications/Organizations
Dr. Mark Golden was the first ever recipient of a pre-doctoral Master of Science degree in Ophthalmology from the University of Chicago in 1978. He graduated from Saint Louis University Medical School in 1984 and completed a Flexible Internship at St. Johns Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis before completing his ophthalmology residency at Saint Louis University. Dr. Golden has been practicing ophthalmology in the Chicago area since 1988, specializing in small incision cataract surgery, diabetic retinopathy treatment, glaucoma, and refractive surgery procedures such as LASIK.
Throughout his career, Dr. Golden has taught advanced LASIK techniques to hundreds of doctors both in the United States and internationally. He has also lectured extensively at ophthalmology and optometry meetings sponsored by:
